Pioneer Firmware?

I'm no longer able to rip anything, i think I need a firmware update is there a firmware for BD-RE PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XD07 1.06 BADL009209WL

Thanks for any guidance.

Post your Makemkv info. Describe your problem.

The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted

The problem is the disc not the drive. Makemkv doesn't yet support this disc. Install KEYDB.cfg after reading this:

I was told this doesn't work with Pioneer drives ??

You can't submit disc info from a Pioneer drive but you can still load KEYDB.cfg. Your disc has already been submitted by others with a LG drive.

For standard blu-ray a dump from any drive will work, even Pioneer. It's just for UHD discs that the public KeyDB can't use some Pioneer dumps.

Also, how in the heck did you get from "unable to read a disc" to "I think I need a firmware update"????? Firmware updates have absolutely nothing, zero, nadda to do with reading discs. If your drive has LibreDrive enabled DO NOT EVER update the drive's firmware.

I mean, the log tells you: This disc uses newer version of AACS protection.

This is a decryption issue, nothing to do with firmware.
