BU40N Vebratim 43888 flash did nothing

Hi everyone,

I am new to this. I ordered a Vebratim 4888 from "Mediamarkt" in Germany in November 2025 and got a BU40N drive. Here are the specs of the drive shown in MakeMKV:

I then followed the steps in the instruction for a non encrypted BU40N drive flashing version 1.03 and performed these steps:

While this seemed to work fine, virtually nothing happened. The drive still gets recognized with its original specs and firmware. Replugging the drive didn't work either. It seems to not be brocken.
Can somewone help me with this? What is going on? Is this drive actually encrypted? Why is the firmware date so much in future?

Yes, 1.05 is encrypted. Use -enc in your command line as it's described.
