This is a new drive that I just got today, I hope it's the correct device.

Yeah see guide below or email me or Marty for an automated flashermarcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

I found 2 firmwares, there are any difference?Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 8:42 pmYeah see guide below or email me or Marty for an automated flashermarcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

Flash it with BP60NB10 NB12 1.02 MK firmware.marcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

I take a look in your FW pack but I didn't see NB12 specific firmware, only this one, I suppose this is incompatible:MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 6:05 amFlash it with BP60NB10 NB12 1.02 MK firmware.marcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

I found, the "DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin" is the correct one.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 6:05 amFlash it with BP60NB10 NB12 1.02 MK firmware.marcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

No, you cannot use the official LG flasher. SDFtool Flasher wil automatically remove the firmware encryption. Yes, the DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin is the correct firmware.marcussacana wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 6:53 amI found, the "DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin" is the correct one.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 6:05 amFlash it with BP60NB10 NB12 1.02 MK firmware.marcussacana wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:25 pmHi, I know is a bit stupid ask this while we have other posts saying, but since one wrong step may brick the device I wanna confirm if this drive is flashable and what firmware is the correct one.

But SDF Flasher tells that my FW is encrypted, means that I need to use official LG flash software instead?

What is the difference between DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin and the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.binMartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 7:49 amNo, you cannot use the official LG flasher. DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK is for the new BP60NB10 with SVC NB12.Stainless wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 3:53 amWhat is the difference between DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin and the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.binMartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 7:49 amNo, you cannot use the official LG flasher. I flashed my LG BP60NB10 (encrypted) to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin and it works but should we be using DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin instead?
Also, I'm a little confused on your statement "remove the firmware encryption" being that I changed my firmware using enc should we downgrade this?
FYI... Marty HUGE THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
Macbook Pro, M2 M2 Max, 96gb ram, LG BP60NB10 Read Rate 25.8M/s 6x (first UHD)

My apologies for my ignorance, "SVC NB12" refers to the firmware? Being that my LG has 1.02, than this doesn't apply to my or anyone with 1.02.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 4:28 amDE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK is for the new BP60NB10 with SVC NB12.Stainless wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 3:53 amWhat is the difference between DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1.02-MK.bin and the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.binMartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 7:49 am

The drives have encrypted firmware on them. When flashed with the MK firmware, the firmware encryption is removed. Using enc allows the flashing to be successful. I'm not sure what else you are asking??
No, SVC NB12 is the code on the bottom of the drive.Stainless wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 4:45 amMy apologies for my ignorance, "SVC NB12" refers to the firmware? You stated, "SDFtool Flasher will automatically remove the firmware encryption" thus I thought that maybe removing the encryption was a benefit... I was reading into SDF removes the encryption but that would only apply to SVC NB12.
