Asus BW-16D1H-U External USB Drive

Brand new, out of the box, wanted to use it with DVDFab and Makemkv for UHD disks, not recognising 4K disks.
Can it be flashed ?

Even a flashed Pioneer drive will not work with DVDFab and UHDs. Only with Makemkv and XReveal / AnyDVD using makemkvcon in the background.
