Have Pioneer drive (SATA native, via USB enclosure to a Windows box).
UHD disks won't decrypt. Need firmware update... I think.

Not possible currently as your firmware is too new. You have to wait for a solution mike is working on.warpgremlin wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 7:27 pmHave Pioneer drive (SATA native, via USB enclosure to a Windows box).

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hello.
I am sorry to be asking as I am sure that somewhere here there is a reply already.
I've read some conflicting information about whether my drive can or cannot be made to support UHD as its drive platform is "Pioneer RS8510" and some places say that it must be MT1959 or else don't bother. I read that if the drive name has a "U" it supports UHD and mine has. Anyway here is my drive info from MakeMKV:
Thanks in advance.

No, the firmware is too new (post November 2022). You will have to wait for support, which should happen at some point in the future.Packers948 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 10:14 pmHello - Please let me know if this Pioneer BDR-XD08UMB-S would be able to get UHD enable - Thanks

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
You need to post your Makemkv info. However, this drive will not read UHDs even if the firmware would be updated.cinegrow wrote: ↑Sat Jun 21, 2025 11:16 pmCode: Select all
