Back when I bought my external drive, I was dissapointed to find out it was not UHD friendly, some even claimed it could not read UHD bc hardware was not present. Decided today to see if anything changed and am unsure if it has. Here's my drive info, still no UHD?

Also if it is possible, will I lose the capability to write 100GB M-Disks?

Thanks for your time!

I was hoping I could get some help with my new optical drive. When inserting a DVD I can play it on my laptop running Linux Mint, but MakeMKV is simply stuck "Loading...". Looking at the debug logs it says "No SDF v098: ASUS_BW-16D1H-U_A205_212012011818_[serial]", so I figured I probably have to flash the drive. I have tried running sdftool dump, sdftool flash and flashing using makemkvcon, but it every time the process is stuck with 100% CPU usage and no output in the terminal. Any ideas?

[Edit]: Downgraded to MakeMKV 1.17.6 and was able to successfully flash.
