I want to post this in case is it needed, since I saw the post that all Pioneers will eventually be supported I wanted to post my drive information to ensure you have the details in case it will be included for support.

Drive platform: Pioneer RS9201
Product: BD-RW BDR-S13JX
Revision: 1.05
Firmware date: 2023-08-01
Highest AACS version: 68
Firmware version: ID72
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Manufacturer: Pioneer

Hopefully we are able to get this working eventually and I'll stay tuned for updates along the way.

It will just be a matter of flashing your drive using MakeMKV's built in sdftool (or the SDFTool Flasher GUI) when the time comes.
Cheers :D

Excuse me, but where can I find all the updated Pioneer models compatible with Libredrive? Or could someone tell me here?

The only Pioneer models that are compatible are those with firmware pre 12/2022. All pioneer drives with firmware post 11/2022 may be able to be flashed for compatibility sometime in the future.

You can find the drive list in the ultimate UHD guide 2025.
Cheers :D

Hi everyone, I've got a BDR-XD07U with firmware 1.00 that doesn't seem to want to load UHD discs and is running into more frequent issues with regular blu-rays. I didn't see this firmware on the list of officially supported firmware versions, either. Here's the info panel:

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: /dev/rdisk2
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XD07U
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: RCDL004518JP
Firmware date: 2017-10-30
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8D31
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-BDS7
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.00/ID69
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
PM sent. And you should clean the laser lens regarding your reading problems.
Thanks! I'll get a Windows VM set up and follow the instructions you sent. I'll also work on a lens cleaning...
