Archgon Drive with older firmware

Post by Collyde »

I just got a second Archon drive for my second desktop running macOS and am getting ready to patch it.

I noticed that the first drive is at Revision 1.03 (HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.03_211810241934_MO9L91G5731,) while the latest firmware patches show 1.04 (HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM00500-212005061142.bin.)
- Can I flash the drive with that to update it?
- Should I?

Cheers,

Flash BU40N 1.03 from the OLD folder.

Thank you. I went ahead with v1.03 after flashing 1.04. It stayed with 1.04. Is there a way to revert?
Later:
I used the 'main' argument and lowering it to v1.03 was successful. RTFM...

If there are issues, why is 1.04 in the pack?
