SP80NB80 LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive Driver Compatibility

So I bought a "LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive" Model:SP80NB80 from Best Buy for USD $39.99, and I can't seem to find any firmware for this drive. Is there any firmware being developed for it, or is there a post that I missed that has firmware for it that I can download?

Why would you need to change software? The drive should read DVDs without changes. Bluray isn't part of its capabilities.

This is why, it keeps giving me errors with different DVDs like this:

That's the problem:

Drive DVD+R-DL HL-DT-ST DVDRAM SP80NB80 RF02 M05OA9B0611 has RPC protection that can not be bypassed. Change drive region or update drive firmware.

And I didn't find a region free firmware for your drive. The region of your drive doesn't match the region of the disc you want to rip. So you need to change the region of your drive in "Device manager" to match and rip the disc. But beware there are only 4 changes left before you can't do that anymore!

So you should move on to a drive that is libredrive compatible. Libredrive can rip discs regardless of region protection.

The Disk region is says USA and Canada home use only, but the drive is formatted for region number 1 which is US, so I don't know what is wrong. And I do have a GH22LP20 DVD Drive from 2010 but It doesn't fit in my case, so I have to take off my back panel but that doesn't matter, IDK if it is a libredrive though.
