Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi all, new to the forum but have been using MakeMKV for a long time to back up my BluRay discs. I'm recently looking into backing up my 4K UHD discs. When I tried to use MakeMKV for a 4K disc, I received this error:
If this drive is no good, could anyone recommend where I could pick up a suitable UHD external drive that would enable me to back up my 4K UHD discs? I'm located in Australia. Thank you in advance for your help.
Here are the details for my Pioneer drive - from everything I've read I believe the firmware date on mine may be too new so I can't use this drive to back up my 4K discs? It works fine for BluRays. I'm not overly knowledgeable in this area but have read everything I can find on this forum.Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:CANNOT WRITE MEDIUM - INCOMPATIBLE FORMAT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40..002000800 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0', Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED', Occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive. LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hello. This is my first time using MakeMKV and I can't seem to get it to work. I have attached my log file. I am using the Pioneer BDR-XD08UMB-S. Any help would be appreciated.
