Hi! Just received an XS07B-UHD and I think I may have posted this to the wrong thread. Here is my MakeMKV information.

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XS07U
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: redacted
Firmware date: 2019-01-07
Bus encryption flags: 1B

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8E21
Firmware version: ID69

I also went into the MakeMKV log file and took this info down. I don't know if it means that the drive has to be added to a configuration file somewhere, but here it is just in case.

Hi!
Im fairly new to the topic and also this forum...
In the initial post of this topic, it is stated that the BDR-207 drives from pioneer would likely stay unsupported. I have such a device and would like to know if there is anything I could help with to make this drive supported for UHD BluRays (normal DVD and BluRays work like a charm tho). It is a Pioneer BDR-207EBK with very old firmware and should be Triple-Layer BD compatible, at least it's got the BdXL mark on it.

This is whats reported by makemkv about it.

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-207M
Revision: 1.21
Serial number: XXXXXXXXX
Firmware date: 2012-03-27
Bus encryption flags: 13

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, but very unlikely to happen
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8000
Firmware version: ID60

No disc inserted
And thats the debug log info if it is helpful:

Code: Select all

Debug log started at Mon Nov 18 11:20:51 2024 , written by MakeMKV v1.17.8 win(x64-release)
001005:0000 MakeMKV v1.17.8 win(x64-release) started
001004:0000 Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as file://C:\Users\xxxx/MakeMKV_log.txt
Using 262272KB for read cache.
Network access is ENABLED, CURL version 7.72.0/Schannel/1.41.0 (x86_64-pc-win32) , proxy server not set.
WinCdArb=v1.2.0_tiny win(x64-release)
