Tell me when it's supposed to arrive.
Amazon says it should arrive on October 8
Check your PM.
Thanks. I'll try it when the drive arrives & I get it installed in my PC.

Is there any way to check on the player's firmware other than trying to ask other purchasers if they can check or buying the player and running MakeMKV?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BDR-212V-Blu-r ... B08R89FN61
It has old firmware and can still be flashed. And you could it return anyway since Amazon's return policy is really good.
Daft question... is there an external drive equivalent?

Buy the Verbatim 43888 on Amazon. It is an UD04 will work out of the box. The enclosure is power hungry. You should use an USB-C port or make sure it gets enough power from an USB-A port. A powered hub will also help.

No but you can put it in a Vantec DX2 enclosure.
Cheers :D

Try to get the Vinpower 212V. Maybe from Amazon.de. I didn‘t find it in Poland.
Found it on AMZN.de, but they won't ship to PL.
Any alternatives?
Would it handle UHD?
Try ubuy.com.pl. It needs to be flashed. Tell me when you have it.
I've got VinPower 212V. Running Linux.
Would you kindly share flashing instructions?

Hi, I followed your advice and ordered a Vinpower BDR 212V, which will arrive Monday. Any help or guidance to enable libredrive is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Just want to confirm that the drives sold here with flashed firmware will work fine in a dx2 on a Mac Studio running makemkv right?
