You bought the 5,25" drive? A recommended case is the OWC Mercury Pro. It will fit if you bend some small tabs diffent to what people say on Amazon. After your confirmation you will get another PM.

do you have pics of that want to see if thats viable to add to the guide for the owc as i have it currently does not fit pioneer drives how extreme is the bending that needs to be done?

my 5 year old drive seems to be dying. I am really interested in a recommendation for a current 5,25" drive which can be bought in Germany.

I've pretty much read through this entire forum and have seen some mixed experiences. I've lowered my options down to what I can buy on Amazon that is UHD compatible and preferably ready to go without flashing. I'm looking for fast and reliable.

The Verbatim 43888 is not available in the US but those Verbatims which are avaible can be flashed.
