The Chosen Season 5 - Partly - Out of order

Normally, I notice the tracks can be out of order, and I can easily figure out the naming, but I have come across a situation that I dont know how to correct.

I am using Bluray. For this season there are 3 discs. Each disc has 3 episodes. Each episode has like 8 to 10 tracks.

The issue I have is, is that track 1 on episode 2 should be track 1 on episode 3 and vice versa. The rest of the tracks (2 to EOF) seem to be in order on each episode so far. and of course this is a similar issue on each disc.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

On a lot of (most) disks, MakeMKV will rip things in the order they appear in the directory of the disk, NOT by file name. If you look at the file name and put THOSE in order, you have a much better chance.

But, this adds in the step of naming tracks manually. In my case, that was a given, because the automatic file names frankly suck, most of the time. Especially when ripping a multi-disk set for a series.

I think you misunderstood my issue. Let me try to explain differently.

Let's say you have 3 episodes on a disc.

Each episode is divided into chapters(tracks)
Chapter 1 in this show on disc 1 of each episode is like a different scene than the actual show.

Well makemkv is swapping chapter 1 of episode 2 and chapter 1 of episode 3.

So if I watch the show, the first scene doesnt belong to that episode but the rest of the episode itself seems fine.

Episode 1:
1-1
1-2
1-3
...

Episode 2:
3-1
2-2
2-3
...

Episode 3:
2-1
3-2
3-3
...

I hope this makes sense.

In MakeMKV, when you highlight an episode in the list on the left, what does it say in the 'Info' box on the right?

Chapter information is contained in the .mpls file that defines a title. The segment map is the ordered list of the 1 or more .m2ts files that are the audio and video of a title.

Chapter information is contained in the .mpls file that defines a title. The segment map is the ordered list of the 1 or more .m2ts files that are the audio and video of a title.
Title#1:
Title information
Source file name: 00001.mpls
Duration: 1:02:43
Chapters count: 12
Size: 11.2 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 2
File name: title_t00.mkv

Title#2
Title information
Source file name: 00003.mpls
Duration: 0:58:40
Chapters count: 9
Size: 10.5 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 4
File name: title_t01.mkv

Title#3
Title information
Source file name: 00002.mpls
Duration: 0:51:27
Chapters count: 10
Size: 9.1 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 3
File name: title_t02.mkv

I can name them in order of #1, #3, #2. And doing this will put them in order for most of the episode, except chapter one[] of Title #2 and #3 which are swapped.

This is a summary of what the outcome of the MKV file.

Title#1
Chapter 1 [Last Supper Scene: Jesus opens discussion] Chapter 2+[Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey]

Title#3
Chapter 1 [Last Supper Scene: Begins with Jesus responding to Simon about laying down his life for him] Chapter 2+[Jesus knocks over the tables in Jerusalem]

Title#2
Chapter 1 [Last Supper Scene: Ends with Simon saying he would lay down his life for Jesus] Chapter 2+[The Pharoses confront Jesus after he knocks over the tables]

if you check out the description for chapter 1 (the first track before the shows intro) you can see that the they line up differently. It is flawless when watching the bluray itself.

So apparently i have learned more about how all this works, and I thank you all for your time. the actual first track on the bluray is out of order for each episode. i am guessing it is intentional. for some reason i didnt see it correctly when i was looking over the disc. it is identical. my apologies. and again i thank you for your time. I have learned a lot in this.
