Despite a few quirks and flaws I think this is a great product.

This forum itself is a gold mine that helped get me started with using the product with 4K discs, which was initially tricky.

And I have a ton of discs in my collection waiting eagerly to be used with MakeMKV.

As I'm writing this the current beta key has expired and if what I read is accurate I should expect a new beta key to be posted soon.

Having said that, I'm seriously considering purchasing this product, if for no other reasons than I plan to make a lot of use of this, and as a software developer, I understand the value of supporting good software.

However, I hesitate because I'm reading posts from people complaining they paid for the product but never received an email.

Are these isolated incidents, due to either bad spam filters or some other one-off glitches, or should I be concerned?

I purchased the software a few years ago and I'm happy I did. The basic purchase flow is you pay online then get an email with your software key. For me and for most (I think) this all happens in less than a minute. If that doesn't happen and the email isn't caught in your spam filter, then doing a support chat with the payment processor usually seems to clear things up for people.

Not having to worry about the key expiring is a nice perk.

I finally gave in and purchased the app. I use it a lot and love it. I got my order complete email form PayPro Global and there was no registration key. Does that come separately? I have reached out to support, waiting for a reply.

Beta key was dead today so I decided to move forward with the purchase. Paid the money and waited for the key that never arrived. Email support twice and never heard back. Emailed PayPro Global who also forwarded my concerns about no key to MakeMKV and still haven't heard a reply. I'm thinking about telling PayPro to stop payment and cancel the order. I can only imagine the amount of people that haven't been able to use MakeMKV because of the beta expiration as I can't seem to find a key anywhere. Please - anybody chime in if they find something in the meantime - thanks...

How did you get your code so quick? I got an email from Paypro with no code and was told to contact the vendor directly.

I purchased it around 6 hours ago. no keys yet. ymmv

I have not been so fortunate. I purchased my license key over 5 hours ago through PayPro Global using PayPal and promptly got a confirmation email saying the transaction was complete, but that I had to contact support@makemkv.com to get my license key, which I immediately did. No response. I subsequently got a separate email receipt from PayPal. I sent a followup email to support@makemkv.com about an hour ago. Again, no response. Despite you getting yours within 5 minutes, I'm afraid that I'm not so lucky because they're either on vacation (it is August 1st), or they're really busy with people that waited until expiration day to purchase it! I have a LOT of discs I'd like to rip ...

Sounds like we're all in the same boat. I'm guessing they had a set number of keys and they ran out.

Same situation here .. Did everything to confirm it works - now that it does - I decide to purchase ..

No key .. so frustrating !

Me Too, purchased about 8hrs ago, email suppoprt after 3 hours, but it is a weekend, so we may be out of luck until next week.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I was beginning to worry I had somehow done it wrong. I purchased mine ~15 minutes ago and I was sent an invoice but no license as well.

Sounds like it's not a good idea to purchase while the beta key is expired, since it would appear there's a rush for purchases.

I'm interested in hearing about how smoothly it goes once the beta key is back up.

I feel exactly the same way. First, I want to see the beta key, then I'll buy it. Because something could happen and you might never get a key. But that's also why I want to buy the key, because what happens if Mike suddenly loses interest, or God forbid something happens to him, then there are no more keys and the program is dead for all of us.
