Request: Socks5 Proxy

I would like to request that Makemkv support Socks5 proxy. I've been waiting a for this to be supported for over a year and it's still not implemented.
Perhaps it may well be overkill but if so please state so, so that others are not waiting for a feature that has no chance of support.
