Yes, but some people are enamoured with the belief that it is untraceable, so when they do something that they don't want people to know about, they can use fairy dust to hide.

The truth is that all the transactions are fully public, so the mean nasty people they're hiding from only need one traceable transaction (like buying fairy dust with your credit card, or buying something you have shipped to you) to tie you to every transaction you make. Heck, governments should encourage criminals to use it!
