Help downgrading Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD Firmware

I bought a Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD in May 2021. Not knowing anything about all the restrictions, I thought it was a smart idea to update the firmware so I'm currently on firmware 1.04.

Can someone help me downgrade the firmware? Never done this before and which firmware would I want to not have any restrictions when ripping blu-ray discs? 1.02 or 1.01?

I thought so because of this part:
LibreDrive Information

Status: Enabled
Then Google Gemini told:
s of 2026, the "Firmware 1.04" for the BDR-XS07UHD is known as a "lockdown" version. While your drive is physically capable of reading 4K discs, this specific firmware update patched the loopholes that software like MakeMKV and AnyDVD used to access the decryption keys on UHD discs.

The "Enabled" Status: Your MakeMKV log shows "LibreDrive: Enabled" because it can still handle standard Blu-rays with no restrictions.

The 4K Block: The moment you insert a 4K UHD disc, the 1.04 firmware enforces a "Bus Encryption" that modern ripping software cannot currently bypass on this specific Pioneer model.
That's why I got worried. I don't have a Bluray disc handy to confirm

Lol, yes, the artificial stupidity ...

@ superspartan:

Your drive is a 4K drive out of the box (BDR-XS07UHD) and libredrive ist enabled. So have fun with ripping discs up to 4K.

Thanks guys, you saved me 150 USD as I had the Verbatim Blu-Ray DVD-Drive 43888 ordered from Amazon; I canceled the order.

PS: I bought a license for MakeMKV to support the developer.
