I don’t have the drive yet. I was wondering if it could be flashed before buying it.

Probably but no one can say for sure until you have it and can paste the MakeMKV drive info & libredrive info sections.

(Only) My expierience with the BRXL-16U3 is:

- Front with white letters: LG with old MT-1939 (CH10 or CH12 or such else old drive installed, no 4K flashing possible)
- Front pure black: Pioneer BDR-209M installed (4K flashing possible)

But for sure only with the MakeMKV drive info.

Thanks for the responses. Interesting about the lettering on the front. Pictures on the vendors site show the white lettering. Rather than purchasing one and returning it, maybe I purchase a drive from Billy.
