Asus BW-16D1HT, Libredrive originally enabled

Hi guys, I'm a new member of the forum. I recently bought an Asus BW-16D1HT drive and it came with the original (unpatched) 3.00 firmware with Libredrive enabled. Should I upgrade the firmware anyway? It seems to rip well even if not upgraded.
I am also quite unexperienced in flashing firmwares so please correct me if the passages I'll do are wrong.
Connect the drive with no disc and close enclosure.
Use SDTool Flasher to flash the 3.10 Firmware which can be found on the drive (2025 guide).
Verify the flashed version on MakeMKV.
Should I read the firmware before flashing?
Is 3.10 MK the best firmware?
I'm aware of the sleep bug but how can I prevent it? I read that I should flash another firmware instead of the 3.10 for this Asus. I read of different methods being used to prevent the drive from sleeping. Can someone come out with the most useful he/she found?
After flashing a firmware, can you still flash others or modify the one you flashed?
