Looking for another Pioneer purchase... 8)
I found a 2011 one... Before buying it I'd like to know if it compatible and can be flashed to enable UHD.

Here's a picture of its label:

There’s no attachment. Copy and paste the drive info and libredrive info sections so we can have a look but being that old, I think you might be out of luck.

Hello MartyMcNuts !! 8)

That's the only info I could get from the seller.
He is not a technical person, and the drive has been removed and he no longer has a PC to connect it to, sadly...

That means nothing. We would need to see the drive platform info from MakeMKV but I'm 99% sure that this drive can't be made UHD compatible, even if libredrive can be enabled on it. I think it is the 208 / S08 models and above (with firmware pre 12/2022) that can be made UHD capable.

OK, understood.
Thanks!

( I'll try to come to an agreement with the seller: if they settle for a reasonable -- for me -- price, or if they whatever decide to accept a possible return or refund, I might buy it... )

No point. As I said, I am 99% certain that this drive will never be able to read UHD discs.

Why change the title to "Unsolvable"?? It is 100% solved. The drive cannot be made UHD compatible.
