There’s no attachment. Copy and paste the drive info and libredrive info sections so we can have a look but being that old, I think you might be out of luck.guanciale! wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 8:11 amLooking for another Pioneer purchase...![]()
I found a 2011 one... Before buying it I'd like to know if it compatible and can be flashed to enable UHD.
Here's a picture of its label:

That means nothing. We would need to see the drive platform info from MakeMKV but I'm 99% sure that this drive can't be made UHD compatible, even if libredrive can be enabled on it. I think it is the 208 / S08 models and above (with firmware pre 12/2022) that can be made UHD capable.guanciale! wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 8:23 amHello MartyMcNuts !!![]()
That's the only info I could get from the seller.
He is not a technical person, and the drive has been removed and he no longer has a PC to connect it to, sadly...
OK, understood.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 9:42 amThat means nothing. No point. As I said, I am 99% certain that this drive will never be able to read UHD discs.guanciale! wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 9:55 amOK, understood.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 9:42 amThat means nothing. Thanks!
( I'll try to come to an agreement with the seller: if they settle for a reasonable -- for me -- price, or if they whatever decide to accept a possible return or refund, I might buy it...)
Why change the title to "Unsolvable"?? It is 100% solved. The drive cannot be made UHD compatible.guanciale! wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 2:47 pmOh... That's sad!![]()
Anyway, thank you for confirming that, you saved me from making a useless purchase!![]()
