Hi, my verbatim with LG drive just died, making clicking noise now and spitting out discs.

Does anyone know if I can keep the enclose and swap out the drive with a Pioneer BDR-UD04?

I know the same model verbatim came with the pioneer, but wondering if there are other internals that would be different, or if it’s simply a different drive.

Any advice or input is greatly appreciated as I am now in the market for a Pioneer, with what looks like very little options at this point.

You can't find an UD04 or UD03 unless you are lucky on ebay. Don't buy from China. Mostly scams.

Thank you for your reply. I can’t seem to find any pioneer drive that would ship from the US at the moment. What would recommend? Thanks

I can't. Production stopped. So you have to check online and be lucky.
