Hi all 🤓,

after my old Verbatim 43888 with the Pioneer drive died within an second I bought the same drive again.
BU40N…. No problem flashed with 1.00 and later 1.03 and works under windows without any problems.

But… on a Ugreen Nas DXP2800 there may be reading errors imo nearly the layer break.
Not on every disc but you can’t say….
It maybe a power issue so I think to buy an active USB hub, because it’s comfortable to do automatic rips directly to the Nas.
What do you think….?

Or buying a new pioneer 5.1/4 and using ist with an external enclosure with usb?
I have to say I’m using a sff pc so I can’t integrate big drives.
But there is the possibility to use internal connectors and lay the drive on the top of the PC.

On linux, use BU40N 1.00 as 1.03-MK has a linux bug. Ripping to NAS isn't the best idea as the continuous writing will wear out the NAS drive quicker than normal. Better off ripping to the PC then move across to the NAS drive.

Hi Marty thx,
it doesn’t matter using 1.00 or 1.03 with both fw there ist the same issue.

It seems that there are connection problems because the drive seems to hung up in Linux.

But if there aren’t any suggestions to solve this I’ll use the pc anyway,
