can this pioneer drive be made to read uhd discs for playback xd08-tb 2024

it has 12 2022 firmware ,should i upgrade pioneers own firmware or wait and flash something already capable of making it play 4k disc ?

Do nothing. You have to wait until Mike comes up with a solution.
