I'm having issues with one of my drives. It's a Pioneer BDR-XD05 and won't read any discs. I have tried multiple blu rays and dvds but it still won't read anything. I don't even hear the discs spin and the laser try to read them. I have used both included cable, a micro b to usb A cable, and a micro b to usb-c cable. Nothing has worked so far. The drive will power on but won't read anything.

How would I go about cleaning the lasers as I'm not sure how to do that since I haven't done that before?

Clean the laser with q-tip and alcohol. Dry immediately with a lint-free soft cloth or a dry q-tip. Do it twice.

The BDR-XD05 is an USB drive, so you don't have to open the enclosure, the laser lenses you can find there like you can see in the attachment (another drive but a good example).

Thank you for that information! I will give that a shot and report on how it goes.
