Hello everyone,
I just bought a Archgon uhd player I was able to rip all my uhd and blue-ray discs, however I attempted rip some older DVD's of mine, And it appears some of them were very dirty -- harden pop I think.
After attempting to rip another blue-ray speeds were greatly degraded from average around 5x-6x speeds down to [safe] speeds - 2.5x ~11 MB/s. It refuses to spin back up to max speeds. I confirm it just wasn't this particular blue-ray by testing a disc I already copied beforehand. Here are somethings I have attempted:
Rewrote firmware back onto the drive
Used another cable to connect the drive
Tested on another computer
Attempted to clean laser / lens with a q-tip and alcohol
This is still within the return window, and I can just take the L if needed, however I hate the idea making tech waste if you have any ideas on how to fix the drive it be greatly appreciated.
