I got a new BP55EB40 with SVC code EB52. It was manufactured on Sep 2024 with original firmware ver 1.03.
First, I flashed it to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP55EB40-NB50-1.03 with the SDFtool introduced in viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634, the driver is libra enabled but still could not read UHD disc.
Then I tried flashing it to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02 or HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03. The operation was finished but the firmware remains unchanged. I didn't figure out what was wrong.
Finally, I successfully flashed it to DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD with the ASUS flasher introduced in viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18933. The driver is now UHD friendly.

I wonder what is the major difference between DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD and HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02. Is there any enhancement in performance or stability? Anyway, I still could not flash the driver to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02 with SDFtool.

The Flashing Guide says:
"...NB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD from Marty download/file.php?id=2143..."

Did you checked the box with "enc"?

Don't flash directly for the second flash. Use the recovery option just like the instructions say for the BP50NB40 NB52 in the SDFTool Flaher thread. Also, BU40N 1.00 is recommended. It has wider software compatibility over BP60NB10 firmware.

The version of SDFtool I used is 1.3.5. It does not have the "enc" option. It displayed a red cross close to "Encrypted Firmware" for that driver after the completion of the first flash to BP55EB40-NB50-1.03

I see. BP60NB10 1.00_HBD seems to be work well on that driver now. I'll try BU40N 1.00 later if there is anything wrong.
Thanks
