Hello all, I am new to the forum. I am looking at two drives the (ASUS BW-16D1HT) and the (LG-WH14NS40) what is the best one to flash so I can burn 4K UHD Disc or is there any better drives than these two. I have read they are making these drives with a firmware that cannot be flashed so I need all the information I can get so I choose the correct drive. I will be using makemkv so it will be compatible. Thank you for your help.

The WH14NS40 is the drive with the lowest quality for this. Take the Asus (or a LG BU40N or a pioneer).
The SDFTool has a encryption function for the new firmware. Pioneer drives with firmware younger than 11/2022 has the problem with the firmware which is not able for a downgrad until further notice.
Take a look in the Flashing Guide .....

Both drives are terrible choices. If you must have one, go with the cheapest as they are pretty much the same internally and won't last long. You might get 12 months before it dies. Either way, they can easily be flashed. You would be better off with a Pioneer drive from one of the sellers on this forum.
Also, you can't "burn" 4K UHD discs as there is no such thing as blank UHD discs. I think you might mean "rip" UHD discs.
