Good day, all.
I came here to check if there was another drive I could buy since my Asus grinds its gears on a few discs once in a while (but very rarely). I have a Pioneer BDR-XD05S also and took a shot to see if this was flashable and found this thread. Any help? Thanks.

Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XD05

Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 3.01/ID34

Does anyone happen to have any more information on how to flash the firmware on this drive? I just happened to stumble across this form while Googling if my drive was 4K capable.
I just created an account to see if anyone had any more information on this.
Thanks!

The important part is what your drive's BIOS says about its software. If it was flashed recently, it may be locked out. That's why posting your drive information is important.
