Hi, I have the same drive except for the build month is May 2024. Is it usable and which firmware(s) would I need to flash it to?

Thanks for the help!

Hi
I have also this same drive. SVC is EB52. I tried to look trough the forum to find confirmation for the correct flashing procedure, but didn't find it. I just don't want to brick my drive.

So is the correct prosedure for this drive the same as mentioned in SDFtool flasher's page?

For the moment, to flash the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52, using the latest SDFtool Flasher, follw the steps below:

1. Flash the drive to BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK.

Now for the crossflash:

2. Select the RECOVERY option and in the pop up, select the BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK firmware that you just flashed.
3. Select the BP60NB10 1.00-MK or BU40N 1.00 firmware in the normal drop box.
4. Click START
My drive info is as follows:
Drive Information
OS device name: H:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP55EB40
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: *REDACTED*
Firmware date: 2121-07-08 16:06
Bus encryption flags: 17

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

No disc inserted

Yep, same process. BU40N 1.00 is recommended.

My All you need firmware pack doesn't include a BP55EB40 firmware but you should be able to use the BP50NB40 NB50 1.03-MK firmware for the first step. Otherwise, you could download either Billy's all you need firmware pack or the MK firmware pack from: viewtopic.php?p=74718#p74718 (toward the bottom of first post) if you want to use the BP55EB40 firmware for the first step.
