Pioneer BDR-XD07B UHD Flash

Post by TheMalayanTiger »

I recently read that BDR-XD07B could be flashed to enable UHD ripping and managed to find one which was manufactured April 2022.

Based on MakeMKV's printout, I should be able to reflash it but I don't know how or if its possible...

Product: BD-RW BDR-XD07

Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-BDS7
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.03

I am having a similar issue. I thought I could you the drive directly without needing to update the firmware. My Firmware is from 2018. Is this not true?

My drive works with non-UHD, but can not decrypt UHD disks.

Do I need to change the firmware to get UHD disks to work?

Thank you
