UDH drive most compatible with regular blu-ray discs?

Post by Cor3000000323 »

Hey,

I'm gonna be ripping 500+ regular BDs and about 15 4K blu-rays. I'm gonna be buying more 4Ks as time goes on but right now it's fair to say regular blu-ray disc compatibility is more important. The drives I'm considering and can find new are:

LG WH14NS40
Asus BW-16D1HT
LG WH16NS40

Is one of these a safer bet when it comes to compatibility with regular blu-ray discs?
Other info:
I only plan on using makemkv.
I'll also rip 500+ dvds.

Thanks a lot.

All of them can rip standard BD just fine and all of them can be easily flashed to rip UHD. They also all have basically the same internals and will all work the same when cross-flashed to the recommended WH16NS60 1.02-MK firmware.
Cheers :D
