Hi,
New to this forum and Ripping my collection and wanted to share an apparently good drive I have found.
I bought this exact drive myself from Amazon UK:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B081JX8R39? ... ct_details
Someone on this forum recommened a slightly different version of this which was the front load and not the clamshell but when i tried to find it this is the only one that came up and also only on Amazon. In the amazon UK reviews two people mention MakeMKV compatibility so I took the chance.
I have just finsished my first RIP of a 4K UHD movie using the drive and MakeMKV and I put the file on my NAS, uploaded it to Plex and played it from the native Plex app in my LG TV and the TV recognised it as HDR and the picture quality is great. No issues here so far but only 1 disc in!
Seems a good option but not the cheapest at £135 when I bought it. I registered it with Pioneer and downloaded there CyberLink Suite as well as the Pioneer driver updater but had to make no updates or changes out of the box and so far working very well. I will keep you all updated!
