Need to know which drives are OK for 4k ripping? TIME SENSITIVE!

Post by urbanracer34 »

I bought a 5.25 inch Pioneer BDR-212UBK internal drive NOT realizing my PC doesn't have space for an Optical drive.

I can get either an ASUS SBW-06D2X OR an ASUS SBC-06D2X but I have to act quick to cancel the Pioneer, which is an online purchase.

HELP!

EDIT: I may be able to return the Pioneer at the dealer locally if it is too late to cancel the order.

Do not get either of those ASUS's. The Pioneer drive should be UHD rip capable. You could get an external enclosure for it or a SATA to USB powered adapter. Otherwise, look here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634
Cheers :D

OK. No ASUS drives. Would this external enclosure work? https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX65528
