These drives worked fine in my old PC. I've since moved them to a new PC (now a VM) and they aren't able to see UHD discs. They rip DVDs and blu-rays just fine. I've got a 3rd drive BU40N on the VM working just fine. Any idea why these don't aren't able to see the UHD discs?

Neither of these drives support UHD. HW is too old.

Firmware date: 2114-05-07 10:26 (date is year +100... pre-2015)
Drive platform: MT1939

Firmware date: 2114-05-07 10:26 (date is year +100... pre-2015)
Drive platform: MT1939

UHD required Drive platform: MT1959 entered production in ~Oct 2015.

Both drives are already enabled to do everything they are capable of.

The Guide explains all this.

Yup.... I definitely put the wrong drives in my new server. This is what I get for keeping a bunch of old drives around. I swapped the drives with the ones what were actually in my old PC and everything is working.

I have a few myself & it doesn't help that there are 2 HW versions w/ the same model number.

Also vm complicates things for libre drive if the drive is not fully passed through.
