LG WH16NS40 SVC NS40 NOVEMBER 2014

Original version was 1.00. Got upgraded to 1.05. Everything I'm reading so far says that the tools available only work on 2015 or later.

Asking for an authoritative answer: is this drive completely screwed from being able to downgrade to 1.02? I did try the conventional way (download the driver from LG and try to flash. Obviously that doesn't work).

So is this one too old for any of the solutions presented by MakeMKV? Does anyone know of another way to skin this cat?

Thank you very kindly for your reply. I attempted as much and met with a brick wall. It's OK, though. The drive I have is an older one (November 2014), so I shouldn't have expected it to work, but it was worth the effort.

Again, thank you.

Flashing it wasn't worth the effort at all... Researching if it is UHD capable before flashing is worth the effort!!
