Is this the correct firmware to use for the LG WH16NS60? If found it in the MK firmware pack, in the "old" folder. The exact file name is HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin

Yep, that is WH16NS60_1.02-MK. It easier to say MK than NM001.......

When I know for sure which firmware to use in the SDFtool Flasher, should include boot loader?

Just to confirm, I should be selecting "WRITE" in the SDFtool Flasher, correct?

Please see image below.

I am willing to pay someone for some assistance here. I tried to pay billycar11 but he would not accept any payment. I don't even care if it works or not, I just want to try all the methods.

Thank you,

Unfortunately, the rip failed. Is there any way to tell if my drive is the issue by the error codes?

I also noticed something about Java, could this be the reason the rip failed?

Well you obviously have a bigger issue going on here.
Start simple clean the discs
Replace the discs
After that it gets harder maybe your PSU is junk 2 bad drives in a row is unlikely

As Billy said...

Also, you could try cleaning the disc then ripping to a full decrypted folder. Just click on the folder up in the top menu.

Guys, I have not replaced my drive yet. I wanted to try all the flashers first, remember?

Here is the error I got from Billys flasher and the error I got from the SDFtool flasher. Both errors are from the same UHD disc. Is there any way to tell if my drive is the issue based on the errors?

I only have two UHD discs and one of them rips just fine. Both of them are brand new so they don't need to be cleaned.

I also want to try Marty's flasher and will pay for it. After that, there are no more flashers to use for my LG WH16NS60 drive, correct? Again, I already tried Billys flasher and the SDFtool flasher.

Well, there is the MakeMKV SDFtool Command Line but you said that flasher is very complicated and unpopular, correct?

There's no point. The issue is not with the flashing or flashing method. With those errors, the first thing to try is:

Thoroughly clean the disc!!!

Brand new discs often need to be cleaned ass they often have an invisible to the eye residue on them from manufacturing.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, then either the disc needs replacing or the drive is faulty. To find out if the drive is faulty, you must try ripping several UHD discs.

Yes you should install Java JRE.

Also, how is your drive connected to your PC?

I should install Java, do you have it installed for ripping discs in makeMKV? I never needed it before.

Do I download and install the 64-bit version from here?
https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

My drive has a SATA connection.

I will try to clean the disc with a microfiber cloth.

Thank you,

Yes, get Java from there. I do have it installed.

If a microfibre cloth still doesn't do the job, try soapy water.

I installed Java and finally the rip was successful. I don't understand, do only some UHD discs require Java? For example, I have been ripping standard blu rays for years and never needed Java.

Thank you,
