Got a brand new WH16NS40 with 1.05 Firmware.

SDFTool v1.2.0, trying to flash to WH16NS60 v1.02 from the old folder, check the enc box.

Getting error code 0x8f056103

On Windows 10 X64. dotNet newer then 4.7.2

What am I doing wrong?
How is your drive connected?
Do you have MakeMKV 1.15.1 or above instlled?
Hi, thnk for your job, i'm a very big jackie chan fan, and i want to transfer them to my pc, seems the ps3 cant read uhd dics.... after investigating too much y found your post and i found a "cheaper" reader that is in your list:https://www.amazon.es/Asus-BC-12D2HT-Bl ... 00F0SQLR8/
Y see in your folder have the same name but i have some questions:
I not see in the list that this hard drive come with encrypted so i not need to mark it in the tool?.
Some people say i need to put sata on ide is necessary with your tool?
Is that easy than select the bin file and select the drive and press write or i need to check something before?
THNK YOU VERY MUCH.
1. ASUS drives do not have encrypted firmware so no need to select it in flasher tool.
2. No need to worry about IDE.
3. Yes, just select drive, select firmware bin file and write. For the BC-12D2HT, I recommend firmware BC-12D2HT_3.11_MK.
Cheers :D

Ok i read if it comes with 1.00 version cant be flashed or something that mt1959 can and 1939 no there's any way to check my drive is 100% comaptible with this method?

Its a chance that the drives come with a firmware undowngradable cause its to newer or if its this model and later 2015 its 100% secure that can be flashed?
Thnk you very much, i know its a lot of job for for people that sometimes never more gonna hear it his name, the case its that i don't have too much money, and if i buy a incorrect drive or i brick it i think gonna cry.

If it is a new drive (after October 2015) it would come with 3.xx firmware. Most likely 3.11 and is ok to flash. If the drive is older than October 2015 and comes with firmware 1.xx, then it is too old and cannot be flashed. Simply open MakeMKV and you will see on the right hand pane what firmware is currently on the drive.
Cheers :D

First flash 1.05 MK with enc. Then downgrade to whatever you want.
After that don't check enc anymore.
That did not work.

Your command line includes -mtk1939 but this drive uses the 1959 chip.

Ok i flashed the BC12D2HT, with the firmware provided in this thread this: ASUS-BC-12D2HT-3.11-WM00300-211902271319 is in the mk folder so i assume that is the mk version cause is in the mk folder, but the file no say nothing about mk and in makemkv not say nothing about mk.

Its all okay with the flash?, here screenshot of makemkv:

Best really doesn’t come into play. If it works it works.

You can also downgrade to 3.00 DE-Firmware.
