Hi guys, I've first version of this driver. Looks Asus changed model but not the model name. I did upgrade from Asus page and it doesn't read disks (Audio CD, DVD , Bluray nothing)
In bios I can see driver, in windows I can see. I need 1.01 firmware. If anyone has pls send me link.
I did contact with asus and they send me Asus e-green software!?!?!?1
They really dont know what is software, what is firmware!!?
Front panel is different, here is my model

Picture of the face plate isn't that helpful, since they have multiple face plates available in the packaging. The label on the bottom will have more of the information necessary to tell you which firmware to use.
Also, did you try the drive before doing the firmware upgrade? It is possible the drive didn't work to begin with...

If you went from Asus 1.01 to 3.xx you bricked your drive if you would have read my guide here:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 this would not have happened. The drive is potentially fixable but your PC needs to support dos flash see my old how to video and use Marty's image linked in the guide for recovery. I can also recover your drive for $50 if you pc does not support dosflash.

If your Asus optical drive was manufactured before 2016, it's likely an older drive that cannot be upgraded to the firmware for UHD
