I'm in the same situation.
Through WinPE I was able to run DosFlash but I keep getting the error "MTK Vendor Intro failed on port 0xFF00."
I tried on three different computers I don't know what to do anymore.

dosflash32 exe runned = Yes
Set Sata Controller as IDE = Yes
Connect it to the Primary Sata controller = Yes
Boot from a windows 7 WinPE USB = Yes

I have a BH16NS40 (SVC NS40) with the firmware 1.05 of SVC NS50.
The drive does not read any disks now.

You need 1.03 or lower for dos flash to work

Thanks Billycar11 for the reply.

Unfortunately I can't even dump.
dosflash return this error: "MTK Vendor Intro failed on port 0xFF00."

I also tried with the version of dosflash CLI but always the same.

Ok here's a summary of what you need to do

Try the recovery option in sdf tool if that fails do this:

Downgrade your drive to WH16NS60 1.00 with sdftool or makemkv command line
Full shutdown pull power plug or flip switch push power button for 10 seconds
Then reflash WH16NS60 1.00 again with the unlocked lg or Asus flasher
Full shutdown pull power plug or flip switch push power button for 10 seconds
Then boot in to your dosflash bottable and dump the firmware
Use the transfer tool to your correct firmware and flash it.

Thank you!!!

I am trying to perform the recovery with sdf tool as suggested, but I have some doubts and I prefer to ask you before doing further damage:

1. The (wrong) firmware that I have to select is the 1.05, the one I mistakenly flashed, right?
I then acquire the bin by extracting it from the original flasher with FirmwareExtractor2?
2. The correct firmware to flash instead I put the 1.03? Always extracted with FirmwareExtractor2 from the official flasher?

Thank you again for your help

It would probably be best to just flash to another wrong firmware like WH16NS60 1.02mk as firmware extracter to has not been tested with encrypted firmware

Okay with the sdftool I flashed the disk with HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin (in MK pack).
Now with the unlocked lg flasher which firmware should I use?
The same "HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin"?

Okay, with lg tool I flashed WH16NS60 1.00.
Then I used the sdftool again in recovery mode and this time it was successful.
Only that the drive is still detected as "WH16NS60 1.00" it's normal right?

So now I have to follow the procedure with dosflash?

i guess so. although its strange that it was successful your not checking the enc box right? and choosing wh16ns60 1.00 as the wrong firmware and then your correct fw

Confirm.
- I didn't select "enc" checkbox.
- Wrong firmware selected: WH16NS60 1.00 (same used in lg tool)
- Correct firmware selected: BH16NS40 1.03

Do you say I have to try to do recovery again with the same settings or do I perform the dosflash way?

i guess just do it with dos flash then you can skip a few steps now because you are on 1.00 already that enables dos flash
