Hello,
Although this drive has been discussed earlier, I couldn't find an update on the status. Currently, MakeMKV (1.14.7) reports on the LibreDrive info: Might be supported in future, keep fingers crossed
Can anybody give me some advice on whether or not this drive will be usable at some point in the near future (I'm aware that working on all those firmware options out there is a lot of work)? Or is it better to exchange the drive for one of the UHD friendly drives listed here https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=19634
Thanks a lot in advance!

If it is ever going to be supported, it would still be several months away.Nikita wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 9:29 amHello,

Thanks for that estimate!

Please do keep in mind that support for Pioneer drives has been an ongoing topic of discussion for 2+ years now. With the software developer working hard to try and get something going for them. But it does take time. In other words, support may not be guaranteed for all Pioneer drives. Not shooting down the possibility of support in the future, but this has always been a caveat, so don’t hold your breath in case the unfortunate happens. You could be waiting for months, or years, for a definitive response on support.
If you want guaranteed support now and in the future, get an existing supported drive.
