Drive Information
i would think it would work unless that case does not support flashing but it just looks like a buffalo rebrand off so it probably supports it.
It seems that MakeMKV is not recognising your drive's platform as MT1959, cause that should have a green tick next to it. If the drive platform is marked with a red X, then the start button is disabled so that you can't accidently flash a non-compatible drive. I still think that the current firmware is the problem. Never seen it before...Tober27 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 3:23 amSo when I press START it seems nothing happens.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 3:00 amfirst page BU40N 1.03mk on any BU40N one flash and done get the all you need firmware pack
MT1959 Platform:
Encrypted Firmware:
both have red X
"Ready..." doesn't change.
I don't see any Drive Platform information, only the Drive Information posted above.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:08 amIt seems that MakeMKV is not recognising your drive's platform as MT1959, cause that should have a green tick next to it. When you run MakeMKV does it say "Drive Platform MT1959" anywhere on the right hand side?
Just sent you an email.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:26 amwell in this case you cant use the sdf tool for now marty will probably fix it soon.
but you can use the cmd to do it or email me for an automated flasher
There's nothing to fix. The tool is working properly. If MakeMKV doesn't recognise the drive as platform MT1959, there's nothing I can do about it. There must be something up with that drive as MakeMKV should also be showing the LibreDrive section (including drive platform)Billycar11 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:26 amwell in this case you cant use the sdf tool for now marty will probably fix it soon.

You could try the old SDFtool Flasher (version 1.2.0) as that doesn't check the drive platform.Tober27 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:21 amI don't see any Drive Platform information, only the Drive Information posted above.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:08 amIt seems that MakeMKV is not recognising your drive's platform as MT1959, cause that should have a green tick next to it. in SDFTool the full drive is labelled:
HL-DT-ST__BD-RE_BU40N_DN13_211907041426_MO9K6D81503
if that's anything.
ok i see no problem, perhaps an override for situations like this with a special combo that you could tell people in these situationsMartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:47 amThere's nothing to fix. The old Flasher READ Firmware worked, where it didn't with the newer. WRITE Firmware still did nothing.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:50 amYou could try the old SDFtool Flasher (version 1.2.0) as that doesn't check the drive platform.
