What Drive should i buy 4k hdr ripping

So i want a drive i can rip 4k hdr movies with and that has the right firmware version and if not make me able to upgrade to a working version thinking a about a asus 16 one right now

Well... At this time none of us have much of a choice. It sounds like you are already familiar with the UHD Friendly list, so it's up to you at this point.
From my experience the more popular ones are the LG WH16NS40 and the one you mention. But at this point be prepared to have to downgrade the firmware as a large part of the new shipments has been patched to fix the loophole.
