New Drive suggestions for 'Traditional' Blu-Ray ripping

Post by Sarge72 » Mon Nov 03, 2025 12:50 pm

Hello all!

Brand new and diving through all the threads best I can!

Currently have a Plextor DVD drive handling CD/DVDs but want to add a Blu-ray drive to rip my back catalogue - 300+ . All 'standard' Blu-rays with maybe 3-4 4k or UHD

If the 4k/UHD is going to add complexity, I am fine with just the standard ones being ripped

External drive or one I can add to a caddy or even install in the PC is fine

Thoughts?
