Hello.

Ive been running this drive for sometime and I firmware unlocked it sometime in 2023 I believe. up until today it has been great. well today I noticed it taking longer and longer to load a disk then I started getting this message in MakeMKV

Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:LOGICAL UNIT HAS NOT SELF-CONFIGURED YET' occurred while reading 'BD-RE HL-DT-ST BD-RE BP60NB10 1.00 K0GH2DE3239' at offset '917504'
udf: node fe/efe failed!


I am assuming this drive has died but not knowing enough about them thought I would check with you folks.

Let first your operation system initialize. Will the disc shown in the explorer?

Which disc format cause this error? Only 4K BD, or normal BD and DVD also?
