BH16NS55 Firmware

Post by Toby2k » Thu Jul 08, 2021 6:53 pm

Hello,
I have a LG BH16NS55 and the firmware 3.01 from the Asus BW-16D1HT installed. Which firmware should I choose if I want to update to a new firmware?

Hello,
I have just flashed my BH16NS55 drive with the sdftool Flasher and got an error. Now the drive has stopped responding. Even if I turn it off and on, I can no longer open the drive and the lamp does not light up either. Has the drive been broken now or can I still salvage it?

Gonna need a tad more detail to work with...

- What FW did you update to?

- What was the error?

What is the build date on the top label of your drive

manufactured January 2019

The drive is originally a LG BH16NS55. It had the firmware ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.01.

I wanted to update the firmware and had updated it to the WH-16NS60 from the MK pack.

Everything went smoothly. I did that with the SDF Flasher.

Then I wanted to flash back again (don't ask me why) and wanted to restore the old firmware with the SDF Flasher. There was already an error (something with the character string framework; I don't know anymore). I canceled it. So far it has worked.
Then I took the modified ASUS patcher and wanted to flash the original firmware. Shortly before the end I got short error messages (I don't know which one, something with error 5 ???) but I couldn't click away.

At this point the drive is broken. It is no longer recognized (USB) and the lamps are no longer lit and the drawer does not open either.

Is there anything else I can test?
