Archgon MD-8107S-U3YC-UHD Firmware Downgrade

Post by adamt89 » Thu Mar 19, 2020 12:41 am

I just received my Archgon MD-8107S-U3YC (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BC9F98J) I am very new to this whole flashing and downgrading the drive firmware. I see several posts that mention this drive and various references to other drives firmware to install. I am not sure what exact firmware that I need to first download and from where for this specific drive, then I have no clue how to actually flash it and downgrade the firmware.

Can somewhere tell me how to do this?

My goal is to rip UHD and Blu Ray disks using MakeMKV.

If possible, I would like to do this this evening, an guidance would be greatly appreciated.

its a BU40N flash bu40n firmware

Do not flash any desktop drive firmware to it.

As Billy said:

If it came with 1.01, install DE BU40N 1.00, else install BU40N 1.02-MK or BU40N 1.03-MK. (then if you want to, you can downgrade to 1.00)
Cheers :D
