verbatim 43890 repair (physical damage)

this piece keeps popping off of my less than year old drive, purchased from a seller here on makemkv.
i can just put it back on and it works for a couple discs, then back off it pops

the drive has been used for about 2000 discs

has anyone seen this before?
is this something that I can just super glue back on?
