Music Discs?

I don't know if this is a good place to ask nor do I know if its out of scope for these forums.

Are there any drives that are suitable for ripping both blurays and audio discs?

CDs and DVDs use the red laser on drives that have both. Bluray drives also have a separate "blue" laser. You can have a drive that has just the red laser (older DVD-only drives), but almost all Bluray drives have both.

Hello! I'm new to ripping BluRay music, too. Within the last year I purchased a Pioneer Electronics USA MAIN-80535 Slim External Blu-Ray Writer (BDR-XU03) from Amazon and have been happy with it on my Mac. I bought it from Amazon for <$200. Hope that helps.
