I have purchased this new ultra hd bluray drive from Amazon . Need guidance about its performace regarding ripping .
I wonder if it is capable of burning 100gb UHD and if they are then seen by the Sony UBP-X800M2 player
thanks

likely not the new fw disables that for unofficial use like with makemkv
you would have to buy a flashed one for those for that to work
Buy a UHD drive from the guide and how to video maker: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=17831

In addition: Your player will most likely see only 2 of the 3 layers of a 100GB disc = 66GB. Since these discs are very expensive I recommend to compress the content and use 50GB disc. The quality compared to 66GB is pretty much the same.
